In the State of North Carolina, The NCBCSC requires us to use NC weight classes. However, all sanctioned title bouts use official IKF weight classes.
14B NCAC 10 .0601 WEIGH-INS-KICKBOXING
Kickboxing shall be classified by weight as shown in the following schedule. A contest shall not be permitted if the difference in weight between contestants exceeds the difference shown in the following schedule:

(2) No contest shall be scheduled, and no contestants shall engage in a bout between the opposite sexes, or where the weight difference exceeds an allowance of 3.5 percent of the division weight without the approval of the commission representative.
